1. How does your service work? Answer: For a small fee Politifax.com will send your letter via fax to each member of The US Congress. We use state of the art communications equipment to deliver your message to the desk of each representative quickly.

2. Why Fax over Email? Answer: Recent studies have shown that e-mails are often deleted or scanned by staffers, therefor sending your message via fax will receive more attention. We do allow you to e-mail individual members of congress from our site for free, simply because this method may not result in any response.

3. How long can my fax be? Answer: If you use our service to compose your fax, then 1 page. If you upload your own document, it can be upto 10 pages with a 5.00 charge for each additional page over 1. If you have a fax that is larger, please Contact Us for ordering information.

4. When do I receive my confirmation? Answer: Your fax will be sent to the recipients, usually within 1 business day of receipt of the order, depending upon the amount of documents in the que. You may login to your account at anytime to view the status of your fax. You will have a viewable detailed confirmation report, displaying the status of each fax sent once it is complete. Please note that any orders we receive on Friday after 5 pm will not be processed until Monday morning. Any orders received on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays will be processed the next business day.

5. What if some of the faxes fail? Answer: The fee we charge for faxing your letters is quite reasonable and includes the cost of some faxes failing. Not all letters can expect to be sent at a 100% rate as some fax lines are constantly busy.

8. Can I have graphics in my document? Answer: Yes, you may include graphics in your document - HOWEVER, excessive graphics slow down the faxing process, which may slow down our servers and delay the amount of time it takes to deliver your fax.

9. Will the members of congress contact me back? Answer: Some members will acknoledge that your letter is received by sending you a response, however we cannot guarantee that any member of congress will contact you.

10. Is there any alternatives to ordering online? Answer: If you prefer, you may also order via fax. An additional 10.00 handling charge applies. Please fax us the following information at 1-815-346-2411:

11. Can I order by fax and send you my files via e-mail? Answer: Yes, just be sure to include your e-mail address on your fax order and indicate that the files will be sent via e-mail. You will need to send your files to Customer Support.

12. Can I use your service to send advertisements? Answer: No, any advertisement you attempt to send through our system, will be cancelled. Sending unsolicited advertising via fax is in violation of the FCC rules regarding data transmission. This is ment to be a service for people who wish to contact congress regarding important issues, therefor advertisements will not be tolerated.

13. How long does it take to send my fax? Answer: Times vary, depending upon the number of faxes currently in the que. We cannot guarantee that your fax will be sent as soon as it is ordered, sometimes it may take upto 24-48 hours to process your order (Your credit card is not actually charged until the order has been successfully sent to the que). We do not recommend using this service to send vital or time sensitive materials.

14. How do I know when my fax has been sent? Answer: You can simply come back to our site, and login to your account. When you do this, your current faxes/status will display. It will show you if you need to contact us, if your order has been processed or if it has been sent.

15. What is "Expedited" faxes? Answer: These faxes are placed ahead of all other faxes in our queue and are sent ASAP. This service is for more time sensitive materials that need to be addressed by members of congress urgently.
